Adding Viewers

Once your Zeck is complete, published and ready to be shared, you’ll want to add Viewers.

2. Adding Viewers with Passwordless "Magic Link" Access

Our Passwordless Sign In is a 2-step sign in process that uses a secure link sent via email to grant access.

To add Viewers with Magic Link Access:

If they aren't in the system yet, start here. If they are already in Zeck, jump ahead to the instructions for adding Viewers to a Zeck below.

  1. Navigate to the People page from your homepage (see here for more about the People page)
  2. Click Invite People
  3. Enter email address(es)
  4. Check Don't Send Email Invitations
  5. Click Invite

Open your Zeck & make sure it's Published. Then...

  1. Click the Three Dots at the top of your Section Navigation
  2. Choose Manage Viewers from the list
  3. Toggle on the correct Members
  4. Copy the link to the published Zeck (using the 🔗 Link button at the top of your Section Navigation)
  5. Send that link to your viewers

Upon clicking the link, Viewers will be prompted to enter their email address to verify that they have viewing permission. This will trigger an email with a secure link to access the Zeck.

⚠️ A few things to remember:

  • Don't forget to toggle on your Board Directors on the People page so they can Pre-vote
  • Don't forget to turn on Request Access to make sharing your Zeck flexible and easy.
  • Make sure your Zeck is published prior to sharing. Any changes you make to your Zeck after publishing will not be reflected on the Published Site until you Publish Changes.
  • Editor Comments will not be pulled through to the published Zeck.

2. Adding Viewers with Password-Based Access

We recommend sending a quick email to your viewers to let ‘em know an invite from Zeck is coming.

If they aren't in the system yet, start here. If they are already in Zeck, jump ahead to the instructions for adding Viewers to a Zeck below.

To add Viewers with Standard, Password-Based Account:

  1. Navigate to the People page from your Homepage
  2. Click Invite People
  3. Enter email address(es)
  4. Click Invite

Open your Zeck & make sure it's published. Then...

  1. Open the Editor and click the Three Dots at the top of your Section Navigation
  2. Choose Manage Viewers from the list
  3. Toggle on the necessary Members

This will prompt users to create a standard account that they'll log into to access any Published Zecks that you've given them Viewing permissions for.
