Private Notes on the Published Site

Private Notes let you capture your own thoughts and reactions on any part of a Zeck — visible only to you.

Private Notes are a way to jot down personal reminders, questions, or reactions directly on specific content in a Zeck — without anyone else seeing them. Unlike Comments, which are visible to other Viewers and Collaborators in that Section, Private Notes stay completely yours, making them a great tool for personal prep ahead of a meeting.

1. To Add a Private Note:

  1. Highlight the text you'd like to attach a note to.
  2. A small toolbar will pop up above your selection with two options — Comment and Note. Click Note.
  3. A text box will open where you can type your note. You'll see a reminder that "Private notes are seen only by you."
  4. Type your note and click Note to save it.
  5. Your note will now appear in the Notes tab of the right-hand panel, tied to the passage you highlighted.

2. Editing & Deleting a Private Note

To Edit or Delete a Private Note:

  1. Open the Notes tab in the right-hand panel.
  2. Find the note you'd like to change and click the Three Dots next to it.
  3. A dropdown menu will open — click Edit or Delete.
  4. If you click Edit, update your text and click Save (or Cancel to back out without changes).
  5. If you click Delete, a confirmation window will open warning that this can't be undone — click Delete Note to confirm.
