What are Cover Images and how do I change them?

Cover Images are images used at the beginning of your Zeck and at the front of each of your Zeck Sections. They allow you to add brand and personality to your Zeck while still keeping it professional.

Zeck Cover Images

Your Zeck must have a main cover image. It comes with a default image, but you can swap that out for any image that you like that fits your specific branding.

How to change your main Cover Image:

  1. Navigate to the Cover Section in the Editor
  2. Click Edit Appearance
  3. Click on the thumbnail image to upload or replace the existing image.

Section Cover Images

You do not need to use images in your sections. Section Cover Images can be added and removed from the Section Appearance Panel.

How to change your Section Cover Images:

  1. Navigate to the correct Section and then Click Edit Appearance (right above the Section Title field)
  2. Toggle the Section Cover off to remove the image from the section.

🤓 Pro Tip: To add a new Section Cover Image to any Section, toggle the Section Cover back on and upload a new photo. I've never written Section so much in my life.

What size should a cover image be?

Cover Images should be at least 1024px by 768px. That being said, you mainly want to think big and horizontal for a cover image, to ensure it renders clearly across all devices and screen sizes.

We also recommend staying away from using text-based or text heavy images as Cover Images, as they may crop differently depending on device/screen dimensions, therefore cutting off portions of text.
