2. Smart Comments

Commenting drives pre-meeting engagement with your board. It allows you to identify topics that your board is most interested in and gives you time to prepare for the meeting. We highly recommend sharing your Zeck at least a week ahead of your meeting to maximize Viewer engagement.

To Comment on the Published Site:

  1. To add a comment, click on any of the Comment buttons. These can be found on each Title card, on the side of each section and again at the bottom of each section.

  2. A Comment Panel will open on the right

  3. Click Add Comment beneath the correct Section Title

  4. Your comment will appear in the Comment Panel - now others can reply to your comment thread or make separate comments in same section

  1. Open the Comments Panel by clicking the Comment (💬) button
  2. Find the comment you would like to Edit or Delete in the Comment Window and click the Three Dots
  3. A drop down menu will open, click Edit or Delete
  4. When you click Edit, type in your changes and click Submit. 📝 Please note that there will be a small indication next to the comment to show that it has been edited
  5. If you click Delete, a window will open confirming that you would like to delete the comment, click Delete Comment

  4. To revert back to the All Active Comments View, X Close out the Resolved filter at the top of the Comments Panel

🤓 Pro Tips:

  • When you are making a comment, you can hover over the 🔒Who Can See This? statement to see who else will be able to view your comment. It’s important to remember that anyone with Viewer access to a Zeck Section will be able to see your comments.
  • You can make comments in a section by both replying to existing comments in a comment thread or in separate comments
  • There is a comment tracker at the bottom of each section so you will be able to see at a quick glance which sections are getting a lot of attention
  • Don’t forget to @ mention to grab someone’s attention!

3. Direct Messages

In addition to the standard comments on the published site, you can also send a direct message to any person(s) who has viewing access to the Zeck.

To send a DM:

  1. You can comment by Section in the Published Zeck, click the Share Your Thoughts or Comment button at the bottom of the Section you would like to address
  2. A Comment Panel will open on the right
  3. Click Comment and then tag another Viewer in the Comment Box by clicking the @ symbol and then selecting their name from the list. You can tag as many people as you would like in a Direct Message
  4. Check the box that says “Make a direct message visible only to people you ‘@’ tag”
  5. Type your comment into the Comment Box and click Submit
  6. You will now see the DM in the list of comments within a gray box. Only those people who are listed in the DM box will be able to see this comment.
  7. To reply to a DM click Reply in the gray DM comment box and then click Submit.

    🤓 Pro Tips:

    • Only those included in the DM conversation will be able to see those messages.
    • You can edit and delete DMs just like you would a standard comment.
    • All DM chat participants will receive an email notification.
    • You cannot add a new participant to a DM conversation once it has been started.
    • Admins will only be able to see a DM if they have been tagged.
